The protagonist of Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas has invaded this week's most popular games.

PC gaming can be quite complex, but it undeniably offers unique advantages that console players do not have access to. One of the most interesting aspects is mods, which allow players to modify their experience at will, adding new content, changing features, and much more. Unsurprisingly, CJ has made his way into the two biggest releases of the week thanks to the community.

We’re talking about Silent Hill 2 Remake and Dragon Ball: Sparking! ZERO, both of which met community expectations and debuted strongly on PC. The modding community sprang into action to create all kinds of modifications, including one of the most recurring ones.

Indeed, including Carl “CJ” Johnson in all kinds of games has become a sort of joke and tradition in the modding community, and it certainly remains relevant today. For example, someone created a mod that turns this popular character into a giant mecha in the acclaimed ARMORED CORE VI and even turned the cat protagonist of Stray into CJ.

Now, it’s the turn of two very popular games that have just been released. In less than 24 hours, the user known as SpiritHunZ created a mod for the remake of Silent Hill 2 that allows players to control the protagonist from Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas.

It’s a very simple modification, as it only replaces the model of James Sunderland with that of the Grove Street gang member; however, that subtle change is enough to make exploring the town and encountering its horrors less terrifying and much more fun.

Naturally, the horror game developed by Bloober Team also received other interesting mods on PC: from one that lets players control Leon S. Kennedy from Resident Evil to one that brings back the retro model of James Sunderland from the original PlayStation version.

Naturally, Dragon Ball: Sparking! ZERO also received its dose of absurd humor thanks to the community. Although it will be available to the public starting October 11, it is already playable in early access. As expected, modders have already showcased their talent.

In just a few days, the user Ercuallo created a mod that replaces all versions of Goku with CJ. Thus, we can fight against the most powerful warriors in the universe while playing as the main character from GTA: San Andreas. Seeing him unleash a Kamehameha is certainly both surprising and ridiculous.
