The developers of one of the platform's most acclaimed titles have just launched an interesting challenge, as they will give $10,000 USD to whoever finds and reports a bug in their next update.
Blade Ball is one of the most successful and popular experiences on Roblox. Its creators were going to introduce a new feature to trade and market items, but an issue prevented its release: a duplication bug. The developers sent this new feature to the test server and offered the reward to anyone who finds and reports this bug. This way, they can fix it before launching the update officially.
Roblox offers $10,000 USD for reporting a duplication bug
The developers have very good reasons to take great care of everything related to Blade Ball. The experience has an average of 60,000 active players and has had 4 billion visits since its launch in 2023.
As you can imagine, a duplication bug is extremely risky for the new item trading and marketing feature. For this reason, the people in charge of Blade Ball did not hesitate to offer a juicy reward.
Through their Discord channel, they posted a notice offering $10,000 USD, equivalent to 2,800,000 Robux, to the first person who finds and reports the duplication bug, popularly known as Dupe.
The bug allows items to be multiplied through unauthorized means, so it is very important to eradicate it to keep the Blade Ball experience running as it has been. Once the bug is found or its existence is ruled out, the developers will launch the pending update.
This is not the first time developers have launched a paid challenge for the community to find bugs. In fact, some companies have special programs where they pay large sums of money to find vulnerabilities of all kinds in their products and services.
