Arc System Works' video game will receive a lot of content in its Season 4

Although it started as a niche franchise, the Guilty Gear series has gradually gained new followers and now stands as one of the pillars of the fighting genre. Its latest installment, Guilty Gear -Strive-, continues to make waves and will soon welcome new content. And yes, there is good news for crossover fans.

The EVO 2024 is currently underway, the latest edition of the popular fighting game event. With the third highest number of registered players, Arc System Works' title has a special participation. The finals are expected to take place this Sunday, July 21, although one of the big surprises was ruined due to an unexpected leak.

Lucy, Venom, and Dizzy will arrive in the new season of Guilty Gear -Strive-

By accident, the developer studio uploaded the Season 4 trailer to its YouTube channel before its official announcement at the tournament. Although the footage was quickly removed, players downloaded it and started sharing it on social media. Thus, we already know what new features are on their way to the fighting game.

As expected, Guilty Gear -Strive-'s Season 4 will introduce new fighters. The first is Dizzy, who will join the roster in October 2024. The return of Venom has also been confirmed, a fighter who will come to the game early next year. An interesting addition is Unika, an original character who will debut sometime in 2025.

Games are increasingly adopting the trend of featuring guest characters from other franchises. Although the series was reluctant for a long time, it has finally opened its doors and will soon welcome its first crossover.

Specifically, Arc System Works confirmed that Lucy, the co-protagonist of the successful anime Cyberpunk: Edgerunners by Studio Trigger and Netflix, will join the roster of Guilty Gear -Strive- as a guest fighter. It was not shown how she will look in the game, nor was her fighting style revealed, so all we know is that she will arrive sometime in 2025.

Season 4 will begin on July 22, and other new features are expected to arrive as well. Players will be able to customize their favorite fighters with a new color, new stages will debut, and a 3v3 mode will be launched. Despite this leak, it is likely that the developer studio will make the formal announcement during the finals of EVO 2024.

Fans of the franchise are in luck. In addition to the new features coming to the game, it was confirmed this summer that Guilty Gear Strive: Dual Rulers, an original anime that will debut in 2025, will be released. Unika will make her debut in this new animated production.
