Exciting news regarding VALORANT has surfaced, as it has just been revealed that some dataminers have discovered traces of a possible console version on the horizon.
As you may well know, this Riot Games title is a competitive, 5v5, tactical first-person shooter that has gained considerable popularity in recent years, becoming one of the primary choices in esports.
Now, a recent data mine of the popular FPS has sparked speculation among fans, suggesting that a potential version for Linux and consoles such as PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo Switch, and Steam Deck might be in the works.
The discovery was made by the user X, PC_Focus, who currently has a suspended account, and who hinted at VALORANT potentially supporting custom controllers for existing platforms and even crossplay.
It's worth mentioning that VALORANT made its debut on PC in 2020, and since then, the community has been eager for a console version, although everything remains speculative until Riot Games shares details.
Nevertheless, this discovery by dataminers aligns with some recent job postings hinting at VALORANT coming to consoles, fueling the speculation even further. We'll have to wait and see if this materializes.
