According to Tom Henderson, a reliable source who revealed details about the PlayStation 5 Pro, Sony recently launched an internal investigation. This with the aim of finding out how and who leaked the documents about the new console, known by the codename Trinity.

Most of the details were leaked by the youtuber Moore's Law is Dead. The tech expert explained that all the information he shared came out of leaked documents, where technical specifications were listed.

The leak is said to have occurred during the implementation of an external development. According to Henderson, the results of the investigation will impact Sony's future decisions. In the wake of what happened, it is expected to share details about new projects and technology with fewer outside developers.

"As expected, Sony has launched an internal investigation into the leaked documents on Trinity as it leaked during a third-party rollout.

Not sure on the implications yet as I don't think they can catch one individual, but Sony could reduce its third-party developer pool for new tech as a result.," Henderson said.

If this new report is accurate, then the leaked PlayStation 5 Pro specs would be real, as several insiders have claimed over the past few days. At the time of writing, Sony has not yet confirmed the existence of its console revision.
