Occasionally, certain titles are no longer available in digital stores due to licensing issues or distribution changes. This will happen very soon with a game that debuted as a Nintendo Switch exclusive and will no longer be available in the eShop.
The good news is that the game will not disappear altogether, as its developers already confirmed that it will return to the Nintendo store in the future. They also revealed that it will lose its exclusivity on Switch to debut on more consoles and PC this year.
Kemono Heroes will disappear from the eShop for this reason
The title in question is Kemono Heroes, a 2D action platformer that debuted in 2020. It debuted as a Nintendo Switch exclusive on consoles and also came to STADIA, Google's now defunct streaming service.
The game will be removed from the eShop very soon, so it will be impossible to get it at least for a while. Kemono Heroes will leave the digital store next March 30 for a simple reason: it will change distributor in a matter of weeks.
The title will pass from the hands of NIS America to those of JanduSoft. The good news is that, upon completion of this process, the game will return to the Nintendo Store. Also, at some point this year it will cease to be exclusive to Switch.
We know that it will arrive on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and PC during the third quarter of the year. For now, there is no exact release date for the port. Kemono Heroes was well received for its concept and retro aesthetic. Below you can watch a trailer:
