Today is Halloween, the celebration of Halloween in various parts of the world and the perfect moment to watch terrifying content that will keep you up at night from fear. Of course, horror and video games have a lot in common, but sometimes the result is impressive when 2 legends are combined, and it's a good opportunity to remember the day when Junji Ito sowed terror with Pokémon.

Junji Ito collaborated with Pokémon and the result was spine-chilling

Junji Ito is a mangaka specialized in horror who has left his mark, and nightmares, over the years with twisted stories that depict various spirals of decay, horror, and madness, always in contact with the strange, the paranormal, the unknown. In 2014, Junji Ito surprised with an unexpected collaboration with Pokémon in an event for Halloween titled KowaPoke, where the artist gave free rein to his imagination, creating a couple of works inspired by 2 of the franchise's creatures.

The first of them was an unsettling piece with Bamette, an artificial ghost-type Pokémon whose story suggests that it was a plush doll that was abandoned, but a spell brought it to life. In Junji Ito's vision, Banette lurks over a young girl who carries a rag doll in her arms as she wanders through an alley.

However, the most terrifying work came a few days later when Junji Ito presented his second creation. In this case, it was a Gengar capturing a young girl with its tongue during the night, while the sky displays the spiral that warns of the impending fate of this event.
