Pokémon GO continues to receive updates aimed at exciting Pokémon fans. In fact, it appears that the game will soon welcome back a character that many surely miss. Yes, we're talking about the charming Detective Pikachu.
Apparently, Detective Pikachu is about to make a comeback in Pokémon GO so that trainers from all around the world have the opportunity to capture it. We say this because Niantic shared an image that seems to point in that direction.
The image shared by the developer on social media strongly resembles the office of Darry Goodman, one of the key characters from Detective Pikachu. Not only that, but it also features important elements like a magnifying glass, a camera, and various documents that seem to confirm it's a detective's office.

For now, Niantic hasn't revealed more about the possible return of Detective Pikachu to Pokémon GO. However, the company made it clear that the image is related to Adventures Abound, their new season. In fact, there's an expected mysterious event from October 5 to 9, and the new Detective Pikachu will debut on October 6.
With all of the above, it seems to be just a matter of time before we get confirmation of a Detective Pikachu event in Pokémon GO. We'll keep an eye out for updates and inform you when we know more about it.
When Did Detective Pikachu Come to Pokémon GO?
In case you missed it, Detective Pikachu arrived in Pokémon GO as part of a 2019 event celebrating the release of Detective Pikachu in movie theaters. This event featured research tasks, Raids, and an increased chance to catch Pokémon that appeared in the movie.
During this period, players could activate their camera to find Detective Pikachu and have the opportunity to catch it. It's possible that the new event will be similar.
