Genshin Impact is an open-world action RPG that can be enjoyed with other players, even with strangers. However, the latter is not recommended lately due to a bug that is ruining players' progress and overall gameplay.
This weekend, reports have emerged from players indicating that other online users are causing them to get stuck in their game by deleting necessary objects for progress.
According to the details, this is made possible by the character Kaveh, whose elemental ability allows players to delete objects that should not be deleted, such as elemental puzzles or even powerful bosses in domains. It is believed that this is happening through the actions of hackers.
What's the new bug that's breaking Genshin Impact games?
The problem is that this allows malicious players to delete objects in the cooperative mode of Genshin Impact, causing the effects to reflect in the worlds of the players they are sharing the game with.
The deleted objects are gone permanently and there's no way to restore them, whether by leaving the game, closing and relogging, or even reinstalling the game.
Currently, it is unknown if these effects can only be replicated in private servers. There aren't many details about this either, partly because HoYoverse has not addressed the issue yet. It's unclear what's happening or whether they are already aware of this issue and are working to solve it with an emergency patch.
Given this situation, users recommend not playing with other users or strangers in the multiplayer mode of Genshin Impact to avoid encountering this problem.

To my knowledge this is unconfirmed currently if this is just a private server issue or if this can be replicated in the actual Genshin Client, but just incase I wanted to inform people!
I'd suggest not joining co-op until we get a clear answer on this… pic.twitter.com/5VIn7jEMDZ
