The day started with great news for FromSoftware fans, as the studio finally confirmed the release date of its next game. Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon is on its way and it will arrive this year, so the company released a gameplay trailer to show off what its mecha combat title will offer.
The new installment will be available on August 25 for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and PC. The title will be distributed in physical and digital format for $59.99 USD. FromSoftware confirmed that the pre-sale of the title starts today.

What will Armored Core VI offer?
Producer Yasunori Ogura and director Masaru Yamamura revealed that their main goal with Armored Core VI is to deliver an action game with the FromSoftware touch. So the studio has used all its experience accumulated so far to inject life into the franchise.
The creatives revealed that the game will respect the essence of the franchise, so mecha customization will be very important. However, it will not be a Souls-style game full of combat with huge robots. The difficulty of Armored Core VI will consist of choosing the best modifications for the mechas to defeat powerful enemies and bosses.
In addition to the main experience, FromSoftware's game will feature an Arena mode, where players will be able to test their skills against customized mechas. The title will also feature a variety of endings.
