After several leaks about it, it was finally confirmed: Counter-Strike 2 is a reality and will arrive this year. Many are excited to play it, and Valve wants its community to be able to play it before it's released. For that, he prepared a test that will allow the biggest fans of Counter-Strike: Global Offensive to get their hands on the sequel.

Through a publication on Steam, Valve announced that there would be a test of Counter-Strike 2. This is a period before its launch in which members of the Steam community will have the opportunity to test the new installment so that Valve knows that everything works as it should and receive feedback from the community to make final adjustments.

HOW TO ACCESS THE COUNTER-STRIKE 2 TRIAL?

What must you do to get a chance to try CounterStrike 2 before it's released? Here we have good news and bad news. The excellent information is Valve wants to make the trial available to true Counter-Strike enthusiasts. The bad news is that access will be difficult.

As reported by Valve, the players who will have access to the limited test of Counter-Strike 2 will be selected "based on several factors considered important by the Counter-Strike 2 development team." These include recent playtime on Valve's servers, trust factors, and Steam account value.

The chosen players will be notified via the Counter-Strike: Global Offensive main menu. This is an invitation with which the download will begin, which, when completed, will give you the option to access the limited trial from CS:GO to play Counter-Strike 2.

Didn't get the invite? Don't worry! Valve will be adding new players to the test little by little. Thus, your opportunity to test it could be on the horizon.

It is worth mentioning that during the limited trial of Counter-Strike 2, players will be free to continue playing Counter-Strike: Global Offensive. Also, all the experience you earn will carry over into CS:GO.
