Last year, a teaser made fans think that Parasite Eve, a cult franchise, would be back with a new installment, a reboot, or perhaps a remake. Nothing could be further from the truth as the Japanese company surprised, for the worse, with the reveal of SYMBIOGENESIS its first blockchain and NFT game. Today, in the midst of a crisis, more information was revealed.
Square Enix made it clear that part of their short and medium-term plans include blockchain and NFT games as according to their analysis there is a lucrative market for it that can be tapped into.
Taking this as a basis, the Japanese company today presented a new SYMBIOGENESIS teaser and revealed new details. Initially, Square Enix defines this game as a Narrative-unlocked NFT entertainment, which gives way to the revelation that it will be an experience divided into chapters that will be released gradually.

On the other hand, Square Enix informed that SYMBIOGENESIS will have 10,000 NFT of characters, each one with distinctive and unique elements in its type because there will be different categories and classes after all the goal is that players get a token that generates a sense of digital property on something that only they or a few have.
It was also reported that SYMBIOGENESIS will take place on a floating continent, players will advance in the story with each character, they will complete missions and something interesting is that they talked about a World Mission, that is, an event in which users will coincide to define the course that the game will follow. Finally, it was reported that the 10,000 characters will be released with the release of new chapters.

There is still no release date but Square Enix is said to be excited about this foray into blockchain gaming, NFT, and Web 3.0. But is stated that the full website launch on March 17 making it two days from now for everybody to learn much more about this title.
