Hogwarts Legacy reached 800,000 players on Steam; surpasses Warzone 2 and more titles

Hogwarts Legacy registered a huge peak of users on Steam before its official debut, as 489,139 players were able to enjoy it in early access thanks to its Deluxe Edition. Now that it is officially available, this figure skyrocketed and Hogwarts Legacy broke important records on Valve's platform.

The Harry Potter-based title is now part of the select list of titles with peak players that surpass the 800,000 user barrier on Steam. This achievement is mostly achieved by multiplayer games, but there are some exceptions such as ELDEN RING, Cyberpunk 2077, and now Hogwarts Legacy.

At the time of writing, Hogwarts Legacy has just registered its highest peak of players with 807,112 users evidenced via SteamDB, so it is on its way to one million. This puts it in the second position of the most-played titles on the platform at the moment, only behind the invincible Counter-Strike: Global Offensive.

The Harry Potter title is so popular that it surpasses Apex Legends in both active players and peak users over the last 6 months. There are currently more people playing Hogwarts Legacy on Steam than popular titles like DOTA 2 and PUBG.

Of course, it's unlikely to surpass the highest peaks of games like PUBG, whose all-time high is 3,257,248. In the single-player arena, Hogwarts Legacy still lags behind the peaks of ELDEN RING and Cyberpunk 2077, which recorded 953,426 and 1,054,388, respectively, but it can now be considered another title that reached the top positions of this chart.

This makes Hogwarts Legacy the most relevant release on Steam so far this year. It is worth mentioning that its reviews are currently very positive on Valve's platform. Below are some images showing the game's most recent figures.

Remember that you can currently play Hogwarts Legacy on PlayStation 5, Xbox X Series X|S, and PC. It will later become available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch.
