GeForce Now is being upgraded to RTX 4080

Cloud gaming to the next level

GeForce Now, Nvidia’s cloud gaming service is getting a big update for North America and Europe users. Later this month the service will see a performance upgrade for their new Ultimate tier.

In case you are not familiar with their membership scheme you should know that in order to use the service you need to choose a membership tier, which has three ranks: Free, Priority and Ultimate the latest as we were saying is having a performance upgrade to RTX 4080 SuperPODs.

In case you forgot: Nvidia plans to launch RTX 4070 Ti this week!

What does this mean?

So, going up to RTX 4080 will deliver over 64 teraflops of graphics to an individual user via the cloud, so you will be getting the highest resolutions and frame rates from the cloud — up to 4K 120 FPS or 240 FPS with the new Reflex mode.

This also makes you able to enjoy longest session lengths of up to 8 hours (for example the Free tier one just allows you one-hour sessions) and exclusive access to their fastest gaming servers.

Actually, according to Nvidia, this upgrade is more than 5x the performance of an Xbox Series X, so imagine that a cloud service is performing even higher than a domestic console.

If you are not a member of GeForce Now, you have now the chance to test it and enjoy their wide catalogue which by now includes over 1,500 games; let me tell you it doesn’t stay behind the latest releases so if you are interested you can click here to check it out.

In case you missed it: A lot of games are coming to GeForce Now soon!

Remember, GeForce Now is available for PC, Mac OS, Chrome Os, SHIELD, Smart TVs, Android TVs, Android, iOS and a long list of other web browsers.
