One of the most successful and beloved franchises on the Nintendo Switch is Animal Crossing: New Horizons. Since its launch in 2020, it has maintained a large fan community and active player base.
However, there is a fan who has set himself an incredible mission inspired by Animal Crossing: to find all the illustrations of the game in real life.
In case you are unfamiliar with the game, we tell you that in Animal Crossing: New Horizons, you can find a museum where you will find real art, including paintings and statues. For the same reason, and with the possibility of traveling, the filmmaker and content creator Mayuren Naidoo is traveling and taking photos where he finds this art in real life.
According to information shared by the same fan, the mission is 50% complete after having visited various museums across Europe, such as the Louvre in France, the Prado Museum in Spain, the Alte National Gallery in Germany, and the British Museum. and the Tate in his hometown of London.
"When I go alone to see the art, it's usually just for one night; I stay in cheap hotels and use low-cost airlines. Most of the time, I just plan to see the art, but there have been times when I've been able to do many things like when I went to Paris for the first time, I went to Cannes for the film festival!" said Naidoo.
The content creator takes a photo of himself in front of the painting or statue holding a personalized amiibo card to verify their travels.
As for how long the filmmaker reckons it will take him to finish his mission, it seems he already has an idea:
"Hopefully, I'll finish most of Europe in January and then go to America, Japan, and China. I've never been to America or Asia before, so I hope to do [a trip] next year. The main delay would be Leonardo da Vinci's The Vitruvian Man, which, although in Venice, is kept in a vault as it is 500 years old and only comes out as special exhibitions every seven years or so. So it depends on how many replicas of the remaining art you get! use it!" he concluded.
