Attention to all Halo fans, it seems that 343 Industries finally listened to their community. Why do we say that? Because they are finally doing a big update in the game that will change the player’s experience drastically.
In case you aren’t aware of what's been going on with Halo Infinite, let us inform you that this game has been criticized since its release back in 2021, and with a good reason, since the game presents all types of issues because it doesn’t receive proper maintenance by developers and team.
But fortunately, this is going to change soon. 343 Industries made a big announcement on their blog about the game changes for their Winter Update.
WHAT CHANGES WOULD HALO INFINITE HAVE?
The Winter Update brings a free 30-tier Battle Pass. With the introduction of the Match XP Beta, Challenges and Ultimate Rewards will also receive a significant rework to improve your progression and customization journey—for this Battle Pass, for players who haven’t yet completed Season 1 and 2, and for all future Battle Passes as well.
Match XP Beta:
This means that players can earn experience simply by completing matches of their favorite modes. Thus, the main way to get experience in Halo Infinite will be to play and excel in the game.
XP for completing matches
Additional XP for your performance in the match (this accounts for things like being on the winning team, your end-of-match placement, and more)
Challenges & Ultimate Rewards:
Daily and weekly challenges will take a backseat to become a bonus. Thus, players will no longer be linked to challenges that condition their way of playing. Also, something important to mention is challenges will now be more general, so you can complete them in any playlist.
