The Honkai Star Rail demo, presented at the TGS 2022, featured scenes from the game's opening story, including the choice of the protagonist's gender. Combat, exploration, and other features were also showcased.
Although it shares the same brand as Honkai Impact 3rd, Star Rail is not directly related to that game. That said, it does share a sort of cross-over connection with characters with familiar names and faces.
However, they won't be the same ones seen in Honkai Impact. There is the exception of Welt, whom Honkai Impact players already know. Characters like March 7th, Dan Heng, and others have also been introduced.
The new Honkai Star Rail demo included scenes and sequences from previous trailers. However, the player was directing Bronya (another character with a familiar name and appearance) as she explored her home planet.
The demo's combat section also included the characters' ultimate attacks. HoYoVerse has created a gallery to display the animations on its website.
The demo was played with a PlayStation controller, implying that console versions are in development. For the time being, we know that the game is being developed for PC and mobile.
