PlayStation Plus Essential August games leaked

The list includes Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1+2, Yakuza Like a Dragon

Sony will announce in the next few hours the games that will be featured in the PS Plus Essential subscription for the next month, starting August 2. But Deadlabs user billbil-kun revealed the titles we'll get a chance to play for free before the company.

PlayStation Plus Essential replaced the base PS Plus subscription service, where players get access to a few ‘free’ games every month, and, as long as they continue to subscribe to the service, they can keep playing these games even after they’re no longer available to claim at the end of the monthly period.

Games arriving at Essentials this August

According to billbil-kun, the three games available from August 2 to September 6 will be:

Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1+2 (PS5 / PS4)

Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1+2 marks the return of the skateboarding legend to the world of video games. In this new installment for Xbox One, PS4, and PC. We see a deep update of the first two games with improved graphics while offering an online multiplayer mode and original music.

Yakuza: Like a Dragon (PS5 / PS4)

Ichiban Kasuga is a young yakuza who sees his dream of progressing in the family truncated when he is shot by his boss, leaving him dead. Ichi survives and will begin his particular vendetta to end his old family, feeling betrayed and abandoned. It is a radical change in the traditional beat'em up approach of this series of titles set in the Japanese mafia.

Little Nightmares (PS4)

Little Nightmares will take us on a dark and bizarre story that will force us to face our childhood fears. Our mission will be to help and guide a girl in a yellow raincoat to escape 'The Maw,' a massive ship inhabited by corrupt souls who long to make us their food. Mixing puzzles, adventures, and platforms, the new Tarsier Studios aims to take us to a unique and terrifying world.

All three will be available to add to our account and replace the current ones: Crash Bandicoot 4: It's About Time, Man of Medan, and Arcadegeddon.

But remember, once your subscription ends, you’ll no longer be able to play any of these games until you re-subscribe to one of the different tier levels that PlayStation offers.

Will you be playing these games? Let us know in the comments!
