It seems that Respawn Entertainment wants to celebrate Japanese animation in its game

Apex Legends has positioned itself as one of the most popular Battle Royale on the market. Although the game is not used to doing this type of event, it turns out that Electronic Arts and Respawn Entertainment have announced an anime event that will have objects inspired by some of the series most popular in the industry.

The event is under the name of Gaiden, and it will be a limited-time event in which players will have the opportunity to purchase skins that are inspired by anime franchises such as One Piece, Evangelion, Naruto, and My Hero Academia.

We have to clarify that the word "inspired" is key since this is not a collaboration but an event that seeks to celebrate the world of anime without needing licenses. In this way, they are skins with references to elements of the mentioned series but not the characters.

Summon your inner hero with 40 event-exclusive cosmetics, including new Legendary skins for Revenant, Mirage, Octance, and Wattson with additional skins for Flatline, Wingman, EVA-8 and Charge Rifle. Unlock the new Bangalore Apex Commander Prestige skin after getting all 40 event items,” said Electronic Arts.

You can take a look at these outfits below:

It is worth mentioning that these are legendary skins that will be for sale as a package of 40 cosmetics. It is unknown how much you will have to pay for each.

The Apex Legends Gaiden event will kick off on July 19.

Apex Legends is available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, PC, and mobile.
