Microsoft announced a new Xbox app for 2022 Samsung Smart TVs (including Neo QLED 8K, Neo QLED 4K, QLEDs, and Smart Monitor Series). This new feature will allow Samsung users to stream from their Smart TV over 100 games available in the Xbox Game Pass Ultimate library (plus Fortnite!) This way, Microsoft aims to present new opportunities to play. So if you are getting a new 2022 Samsung Smart TV, you will now have more ways to play games at home. And if you’re new to gaming, this is an easy way to get into the fun without needing to buy a PC or console and join a thriving community of over 25 million Game Pass members worldwide.
XBOX APP WILL BE AVAILABLE VERY SOON
Starting on June 30, access the Xbox app from the Samsung Gaming Hub or Media Hub and, log into your existing Microsoft account, connect your favorite Bluetooth controller. If you’re a Game Pass Ultimate member, you’ll have access to many great cloud-enabled games, or you can jump into Fortnite without a subscription.
Ashley McKissick, Corporate Vice President, Gaming Experiences & Platforms, shared a message through a blog post on Microsoft’s website:
“We’re super excited by what this next step means for all you gamers out there. With this rollout, we’re making it easier than ever to play games on your own devices. With Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and a controller, you can easily jump into the world of gaming and connect with your friends and communities on Xbox.”
Samsung president and head of the Service Business Team at Samsung Electronics Won-Jin Lee shared a few words in a press release:
“Xbox has been an integral partner for Samsung and shares in our vision and dedication to bring the ultimate game streaming experience to everywhere in the home. We are excited to deepen our partnership with Xbox by adding the Xbox app to Samsung Gaming Hub, which now gives Samsung Smart TV users access to hundreds of Xbox Game Pass games. So with the same ease that our customers watch live sports and stream movies on Samsung Neo QLEDs and QLEDs, they can now play their favorite games.”
